Terminal Commands - Antinote Help Center

Reset all preferences

If you need to reset Antinote to its default settings, run this command in Terminal:

defaults delete com.chabomakers.Antinote

This will remove all saved preferences (theme, hotkey, dock mode, etc.). Your notes will not be affected.
Restart Antinote after running this command.

To launch Antinote and see real-time logs in the terminal (useful for debugging or reporting issues):

/Applications/Antinote.app/Contents/MacOS/Antinote

This runs Antinote directly from the terminal, so all log output will appear in the terminal window.
If you installed Antinote via Homebrew, the path may differ. You can find it with which antinote or mdfind "kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier == com.chabomakers.Antinote".
