Design intent: Every network call Antinote can make should be visible in one place, with an off switch.
Settings > Privacy lists everything Antinote can send over the network, grouped by feature, each with its own switch and the exact endpoint it talks to:
- iCloud Sync — "Sync notes with iCloud" (your private iCloud database, end-to-end encrypted; see Cloud Sync).
- Features — "Automatically update conversion rates daily" for currency conversions.
- Extensions — "Check GitHub for extension updates" (the community extension library) and "Let extensions call their own APIs" (each extension's declared endpoints).
- Updates — "Check for urgent alerts" and "Allow updater" (both need an app restart).
- Misc — license validation. It can't be switched off, but it only fires when you verify a license key.
Two things to know:
- The Turn Everything Off button closes every gate at once.
- When a gate is closed, the feature that depends on it shows an inline warning with an "Open Privacy Settings" button wherever it appears in Settings — nothing fails silently.
